Savannah – Colette Chastagner, 71, left this life May 6, 2006. She was born December 9, 1934 in St. Die, France, to Maurice and Lina Sombsthay. She came to the United States in 1960 and lived in Illinois, Hawaii and Georgia. She was a retired registered nurse and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Will R. Moore and Philippe Chastagner and her father, Maurice Sombsthay.
She is survived by her son, James Maurice Moore of Savannah, GA; her daughter, Lauren “Lou” Sasser Marc of Tampa, FL; her grandchildren, Phillip and Gregory Sasser, her mother, Lina Sombsthay, her sister, Marie-Helene Bernard, her brother, Bernard Sombsthay all of France; numerous cousins, nieces and many dear friends.
Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at the funeral home.
Memorial Service: 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2006 in the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
